Fracture : good boss or bad boss toward his minicons? (love your analysis posts)

Adequate imo, especially by Decepticon standards.

While Fracture doesn’t seem to care if his aggressive outbursts hurt the Minicons, neither Airazor nor Divebomb fear their boss so I guess the audience has no reason to take this seriously? He also talks to them like a normal person, without threat.

I’m mentioning the lack of threatening demeanor because of how it compares to, among others: Megatron when he’s not talking to Soundwave or Shockwave, Starscream with his hired team in RiD, Motormaster with his team of Stunticons, and even Drag Strip with Wildbreak. Fracutre doesn’t try to intimidate his underlings or make them fear him.

Airazor and Divebomb both show admiration and appreciation towards Fracture – fantastic boss, does all the walking, most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy, sometimes he smiles! – and they care when he’s in trouble, they always worry and rush to assist him.

So, I’d say Fracture passes for an adequate boss because his Minicons love him and I’m assuming he earned their loyalty. But if he was an Autobot, he’d require some sensitivity training. lol

I see. So you don’t view Divebomb and Airazor as evil? By the way, do you think they both cared for each other just like the way Jetstorm and Slipstream did to each other?

I can’t take them seriously enough to consider them actually evil, especially
compared to villains that do harm or state evil plans. They’re also too adorable so I’m biased.

As for caring, well they show great adoration for their boss without any jealousy towards one another so I’d assume they’re on friendly terms, and they’re pretty synchronized like it’s the most natural thing in the world so there’s that little teammate bond going on.

Like, I recently rewatched some of the shorts and these two don’t just finish each other’s sentences, they speak sentences together part by part.

Speaking of the shorts, there’s a moment when the two are told by Slipstream and Jetstorm that they’ll be arrested. Divebomb keeps looking at Airazor during this exchange and then takes a step forward and stretches out his arm to put himself between Drift’s Minicons and Airazor – either to protect him from being dumb and starting another fight or to protect him from the others.

But this show isn’t exactly known for giving Decepticons screen time, character, character development, or meaningful relationships. So insert shrug emoji here, hell if I know.

Favorite Minicons in Rid2015? Least favorite? and why?

Favorite ones are definitely Divebomb and Airazor, mostly because I love their cute designs and they get enough screen time to be memorable. I really like them in the show’s series of shorts, too. I wish we could have seen more of them and Fracture as a team or gotten some backstory because the little ones obviously adore their boss.

As for least favorite, it’s hard to pick between the many forgettable ones that only get to appear in one episode, I don’t even remember the names of most simply because they’re gone too soon after being introduced. I guess I’ll pick the non-sentient Fixit clones/drones who exploded for least favorite, I just don’t care about them.

Favorite RID2015 pairing(s)?

Strongarm and Windblade would definitely be a nice couple. They thought about one another while separated, obviously enjoy each other’s company, and have shown maturity when resolving their initial conflict – which is very important for a relationship to work. Sideswipe should stop getting between those two and text Jazz instead.

As for others, I guess there’s lots of potential for different pairings and I can understand why some are more popular than others. But I haven’t thought much about it and I don’t even read fanfiction. Wildbreak and Drag Strip look cute together, though, even Dragbreak’s mismatched color scheme is charming in a way.
