actually, hey, here’s some more stuff on a similar topic:
cyclonus and tailgate have a dichotomy that a lot of the fandom seems to really miss out on because a lot of the fandom makes snap-judgements about their personalities based on their appearances and some (some) of their in-comic dialogue
tailgate is. spiteful. tailgate holds grudges. tailgate lies to make people like him. tailgate 1) tries to attack megatron the moment he thinks he’s pulled something and 2) is ready to ABSOLUTELY THROW DOWN with people who’ve upset him the moment he has the power to. tailgate can be naive but that’s his lack of experience more than anything else.
cyclonus, meanwhile, is what i can really only describe as “an emotionally constipated absolute sap”. you have to remember that his reasoning for not telling tailgate he loved him was not really anything overly broody (i mean part of it was “he deserves better than me” but i wouldn’t call that brooding), it was “these things should be felt, not said”. he sings to comfort himself – and when tailgate needs comfort, his first instinct is to sing for him and teach him songs. he says things like “hope is a lie” but holds on to hope with all of his spark; cyclonus is a romantic, he just doesn’t wanna admit that he is. all in all, cyclonus is a very forgiving character, too. he does not hold grudges unless it’s a matter of honor.
so all this really boils down to is
tailgate can be soft but he is not the soft one in their relationship

I’ve been looking all over for a non-pricey transforming knock-off figure that could maybe be remodeled/repainted into resembling IDW’s Vos but have had zero luck, and that doesn’t surprise me at all since he’s such a minor character overall.
What does surprise me is that I haven’t seen any knock-offs whatsoever that transform into a sniper rifle. There’s dinosaurs that transform into cubes and robots that transform into toy phones or watches but no sniper rifles.
Tfa bee talked so fuckin much that they cancelled his voice in every other series
Two things I noticed in the Transformers Prime Episode “Con Job”
1. Optimus doesn’t care that Bulkhead doesn’t speak too formally when he told Optimus “that is one thousand percent the real Jackie”. Optimus just takes it as a normal reply.
2. Arcee gives a slight smile when Bulkhead gives Wheeljack a big hug. Given the history she had with partners, she is probably very happy for Bulkhead .
Let’s be honest, the main reasons why Soundwave didn’t get dark energon in his system in tfp was:
1: He’s smarter than that. He knows the effects of it and how to avoid getting it most likely.
2: The writers are cowards and know that he’d end the war right there and then with his bare hands.

Okay but in all honesty?

I love the “starscream was a scientist” backstory because it informs absolutely none of his current character? Like yeah I used to be a scientist and I was really good at it and now I kill people and those two things are entirely unrelated like he isn’t an evil scientist and he didn’t have some tragedy where he had to Give Up science to fight he just. changed his mind one day out of spite apparently
